A poet for over 30 years, Black is certainly not your average girl next door! She is the sparkle in a tiara, the leather of a strong belt and the comfort of a hug. This is evident in her writing, notably seen in both of her poetry books. Black’s work in her debut, Shitty Jody, was recently nominated as a finalist in the 2022 Canadian Book Club Awards.
